GlobalData sets out the prospects of the JAK inhibitor universe, including upa and filgo for 2025 in the following graphic:

projected 2025 US JAK inhibitor revenues

Its projections assume launches for upa in 2020 and filgo in 2021 following FDA approval giving heavy support for earlier to market therapies.

Dus alhoewel GlobalData verwacht dat Filgotinib pas op 2021 op de markt komt verus 2020 voor upa, heeft Filgotinib in 2024 toch al 11% versus 7% voor upa.

Met zoveel kleuren blauw lastig te zien, maar upa gaat voor 13% in deze voorspelling, niet 7%.

Volgens mij loopt de studie door, alleen met minder deelnemers dan de 34.

(de status status staat op Active, not recruiting: The study is ongoing, and participants are receiving an intervention or being examined, but potential participants are not currently being recruited or enrolled.)

Als de studie was gestopt, dan had de status op terminated of suspended moeten staan.

Ik heb het niet helemaal scherp meer, maar die GS-9876 lijkt toch niet zoveel te doen. Was ook al afgevoerd in combinatie met Filgo in RA.

Overigens loopt de studie in de andere Lupus-variant CLE nog wel door:

Ik heb de slides van voorgaande kwartalen teruggekeken en vind daar nergens LMN.

Maar we zullen de voorzichtige conclusie wel kunnen trekken dat LMN afgevoerd is.

Dus Gilead zou graag een 10% tot 15% hogere response rate hebben gehad dan het placebo.
Ik weet niet zeker of de door McHutchinson vermelde gewenste response rate hetzelfde is als de vandaag gerapporteerde one-stage improvent rate. Maar die laatste is dus 14.4% voor de hoge dosis, 12.5% voor de lage dosis en 12.8% voor placebo. Dus niet bepaald 10% tot 15% hoger vergeleken met placebo. De hoge dosis heeft een 1.6% hogere rate dan placebo, en de lage dosis is zelfs 0.3% slechter dan placebo.

Gileads behoefte aan goed nieuws uit de pipeline wordt alleen maar groter.

Wellington heeft voor het eerst belang genomen bij de bekendmaking van de deal met Gilead in 2015.
Sand Capital heeft ook belangen bij Gilead.
Ben ik de enige die dit op zijn minst opmerkelijk vind?

Gilead downgraded to Neutral from Buy at Citi. Citi analyst Robyn Karnauskas downgraded Gilead Sciences to Neutral and lowered her price target for the shares to $75 from $100.

CITI Gilead "Without NASH, Gilead needs M&A to grow.
Company is looking, keeping future CEO informed.
In speaking with mgmt, the sense of urgency remains, they are actively looking.

JPM we believe that this failure adds an increasing amount of pressure on the incoming CEO to put his stamp on the company (in the form of M&A/BD) after taking the helm on March 1st.

Weet iemand hoe de Duitse reumamarkt zich verhoudt tot Filgotinib? Ik begreep dat daar in 2017 2 JAK-inhibitors zijn geïntroduceerd door Lilly en Pfizer en samen 15% van de markt hebben gepakt.

Op de nieuwjaarsborrel is toegelicht dat de JAK-inhibitors de biologics zullen verdrijven. Als voorbeeld zijn toen de JAK's van Lilly en Pfizer in Duitsland genoemd. Zijn dit serieuze concurrenten voor Filgotinib ?

Already, Filgotinib was supposed to complete enrollment of DIVERSITY phase 3 study in Crohn's Disease, in the second half of 2019. However, Gilead´s postponed it to the third quarter of 2020.

Ten eerste zijn er twee effectief goede JAK-inhibitors nu ontwikkeld en dat is onze concurrent bij Abbvie upadacitinib en Filgotinib. De andere JAK-inhibitors hebben problemen zowel qua effectiviteit maar ook qua safety.

Elk Reuma medicijn is een concurrent. Maar met name in Duitsland lijken de JAK snel markt te veroveren.

Tot nu toe lijken Filgotinib en Upa(Abbvie) een betere efficiëntie te hebben.

Tot nu toe scoort Filgotinib ook behoorlijk beter dan de andere JAK inhibitors op het gebied van veiligheid.

Maar deze 2 hebben nu natuurlijk wel een achterstand. Voordeel is dat de markt wel enorm groot is.
