Arcam A.B. is een behoorlijk risicovol aandeel als ik naar de koersbewegingen kijk.
Vanaf februari is de koers in een downtrend geraakt vanaf 300 kronen. Een poging de weerstand van 225 kronen te doorbreken is jammerlijk mislukt.

Nu is er weerstand rond 200 kronen en pas daarboven ontstaat een zijwaartse koersbeweging. Het lijkt erop dat beleggers in het verleden te veel op de toekomst zijn vooruitgelopen. Verkopers hebben al maanden de overhand. Wat de toekomst brengt is niet te voorspellen. Het kan meevallen maar mijn voorkeur gaat niet uit naar dit aandeel. De sector als geheel leent zich volgens mij momenteel uitsluitend voor wat speculatieve ritjes.

Technisch heb je waarschijnlijk gelijk hirshi. Weet jij hoe en waar ik een candle grafiek van arcam kan vinden? Binck weigert dat en yahoo ook. Nasdaqnordic helpt je ook niet verder.

Goldman Sachs Initiates Coverage on Stratasys, 3D Systems; Favors Former

Analyst rated Stratasys at Buy with a $146 price target, while rating DDD at Neutral with a $63 price target.

According to Samuel Eisner, ”physical and intellectual property barriers enable 60+% margins for consumable sales.”

The drop in these momentum names have “recalibrated” expectations for more reasonable, “but still rapid growth,” Eisner argued.
Conversations with industry participants lead the analyst to “see significant potential for 3DP OE's based on contributions to the industrial supply chain.”

However, Eisner does not see “significant market opportunity for consumer 3D printers, despite recent headlines as well as a slew of new entrants.” The analyst sees the a total addressable market of $40 billion over the next 15-20 years, “driven by rapid prototyping in aerospace, automotive, and healthcare markets.”
Metal printing “opens opportunities for final production,” but unit economics limitations remain, according to Eisner.

The analyst prefers Stratasys to 3D Systems in the near-to medium-term “given the company's larger presence in industrial end markets through the use of the company's PolyJet (jetting technology of photo-curable resins use in rapid prototyping) and Fused Deposition Modeling platforms as well as the potential to capture a larger share of aftermarket revenue through the leveraging of the company's growing RedEye business.”

Eisner is forecasting greater than 25 percent annual earnings per share growth through 2016 driven by strong top line performance and 70 basis points of annual operating margin expansion through 2016 for Stratasys.

Stratasys' $146 price target is based on “48x the 2015E EPS of $3.05.”

3D Systems' $63 price target is based on “the shares trading at 53x the 2015E EPS of $1.18.

Conclusion

Swedish 3D printing company Arcam AB has shown to produce truly ground breaking products. In my opinion, it is only a matter of time before they manage to present an EBM machine that could rapidly become the method of choice for producing aerospace components given its speed and far superior quality in comparison to conventional methods. This development is backed given the recent very positive comments at the annual general shareholder meeting. I believe that the current clear positive trend in Arcam AB will continue in 2014 based on many of the drivers discussed in articles linked here. For me, investing in Arcam AB is the best choice to invest from all 3D printing companies.

My personal price target for Arcam AB for 2014 is $75+/share, based on fundamentals driven by an increasing number of orders, several high volume orders and a growing investor awareness of the company in the market. My expectation holds as long as there are no major market setbacks.
