The beach holiday in Spain, the trip to Stockholm Castle in Sweden and the bathing day at Lake Bled in Slovenia have one thing in common: On the way there and on site, drivers can use charging points anywhere in the EnBW HyperNetwork. With the EnBW mobility+ offer, they now charge at more than 400,000 charging points in a total of 17 European countries. This includes charging points from hundreds of other operators. Everywhere there, the same transparent unit prices per kilowatt hour apply at all times as in Germany – without price fluctuations as with fossil fuels.
The rapid growth of the EnBW HyperNetwork is emblematic of the speed at which the entire electromobility market is developing: Since 2020, EnBW has been able to increase the number of charging points in the EnBW HyperNetwork tenfold and the number of connected countries more than fivefold. EnBW mobility+ now invites customers in all nine neighbouring countries of Germany (France, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland) as well as in Sweden, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia and Liechtenstein.
All available charging points can be called up quickly via the EnBW mobility+ app – via Apple CarPlay also on the screen of the vehicle. With the app, drivers can also pay and always have an overview of all their charging processes and costs. At most EnBW fast-charging points, drivers can also start the charging process automatically using the AutoCharge function. After a single activation, it is sufficient to simply connect the vehicle to the charging station. Both the EnBW mobility+ app and EnBW's charging offer are regularly awarded by independent tests, including Stiftung Warentest (see below "About the EnBW HyperNetz").
The EnBW HyperNetz offers motorists access to more than 400,000 charging points in Europe at uniform prices everywhere. At the same time, the energy company is also continuing to expand the EnBW HyperNetz itself at a rapid pace. Within Germany, EnBW has already set up by far the largest fast-charging network. By 2030, it will operate 30,000 fast-charging points nationwide and make a relevant contribution to the 130,000 to 150,000 fast-charging points required by then. To this end, EnBW invests significantly more than 100 million euros annually. With the joint venture SMATRICS EnBW, it also operates the largest fast-charging network in Austria and is also vigorously expanding the nationwide charging infrastructure there.
