9 orc ( Russen ) attacks repulsed ( afgeslagen ) in Donetsk & Luhansk oblasts over last 24hrs.

1 tank, 10 armoured units, 2 vehicles, 1 artillery system, 2 special engineering units, 1 anti-aircraft missile system & an ammunition depot destroyed.

Attempting to push south near Izyum, Russian forces appear to be suffering heavy casualties.

At the town of Balakliya, Russian wounded were brought to the local medical clinic, this despite there being a Russian military field hospital in the town.

Sehr spannende Aufnahmen: im Osten der Ukraine rückt eine Einheit von Verteidigern vor.
Sie verfügt über ein jüngst erbeutetes BMD-2 mit ATGM auf dem Turm, RPG-7 und RPG-22 aus sowjetischen Beständen sowie eine NLAW aus Großbritannien. Alles in allem alles anti Panzer ausgelegt.

An elderly Jewish woman who survived the Holocaust has died in the siege of Mariupol, her daughter told the Chabad.org news site.

Vanda Semyonovna Obiedkova, 91, was sheltering without water in a freezing basement when she died on 4 April.

More than 80 years ago she had hidden in a cellar during Mariupol's Nazi occupation.
This time she was taking shelter from Russian forces who have bombarded the city and cut off essential supplies.

"Mama didn't deserve such a death," her daughter Larissa told Chabad.org.

"There was no water, no electricity, no heat - and it was unbearably cold," said Larissa, who was in the basement hiding with her mother. "There was nothing we could do for her. We were living like animals."

Complotdenkers en ‘draaideurfanatici’

De NCTV ziet wel dat ‘agitatoren en complotdenkers’ die zich tot nu toe met corona bezighielden de oorlog in Oekraïne aangrijpen om een anti-overheidsgeluid te laten horen. Het is een manier hun verzet tegen die Nederlandse overheid levend te houden nu de coronamaatregelen zijn afgeschaft. ‘Het is echter niet te verwachten dat de Russisch-Oekraïense oorlog hetzelfde mobiliserende effect zal hebben op anti-overheid-activisten en -extremisten als Covid-19. Het gewelddadige conflict raakt op dit moment niet de persoonlijke handelingsvrijheid van Nederlanders. Het Russische narratief wekt bovendien niet of nauwelijks sympathie in de Nederlandse samenleving.’

De dienst spreekt in zijn Dreigingsanalyse over de coronaprotesten ook over ‘draaideurfanatici’: een klein deel van de activisten die keer op keer politici en wetenschappers (fysiek) bedreigt. Het gaat volgens de NCTV om zo'n 100 mensen. ‘Hierbij valt op dat de afgelopen tweeënhalf jaar intimiderende acties in de openbare ruimte veelvuldig door dezelfde en gekende subjecten zijn uitgevoerd, waardoor welhaast kan worden gesproken van draaideurfanatici.’

‘Fakkelman’

Zo stond de bekende corona-activist Max van den B. eind vorig jaar met een brandende fakkel voor het woonhuis van minister Sigrid Kaag. Hij stond eerder al bij minister Hugo de Jonge voor de deur, toen nog zonder fakkel. Van den B., die met psychische klachten kampt, kreeg een celstraf van zes maanden.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, does not rule out a Ukrainian strike targeting the Kerch Strait bridge connecting the occupied Crimean peninsula with mainland Russia.

The top security official made the statement in an interview with Radio NV, Ukrinform reports.

“Had we had the ability to do it, we would’ve already done it. If there is an opportunity to this end, we will definitely do it,” Danilov said.
