Goedemiddag diehards: Gisterenavond een noodweer gehad waar de honden geen brood van lusten en op dit moment schijnt de zon alweer evenals de zon op de beurs. Het kan raar gaan maar de 11 gaan we zeker knakken deze week.

Ook tevreden. Al een poos geen grote stijgingen gezien en steeds vaker groen als de AEX down gaat. Het sentiment is voor AM aan het keren. En vandaag doen we het toch dubbel zo goed dan de AEX.
Ik verwacht een versnelling als we de 11,80 breken, maar met dit tempo kan ik heel goed leven.

Hopelijk vd week nog een keer goed nieuws een serieuze advieswijziging met mooi koersdoel want buy roepen en dan koersdoel onder de huidige vaststellen kan natuurlijk helemaal niet dan moet je sell roepen! Gewoon buy koersdoel 13,50 lijkt me reeel!

Koers heeft wel moeite om uit de €10,70-€10,75 range te knallen.

had ik ook gezien, maar over de plas voorbeurs gaan we leuk mee omhoog, sluiten boven die 10.75 zou ondersteunend zijn.

Het hoofdkantoor is nu al een tijdje gevestigd in luxemburg, iemand een idee welke inpact dit kan hebben op de cjfers?

Als de koers vandaag boven 10,73 euro sluit,dan is weg vrij,denk ik.

Boven de 10,73 sluiten zie ik vandaag niet gebeuren waarom niet in 1x alle weerstand wegblazen richting de 11,- ik zeg kom op kopen en gaan!

ArcelorMittal Ordered To Release Environmental Data on South Africa Steel Plants

ArcelorMittal, the global steel giant, has been ordered to hand over documents about the environmental impact of two South African facilities to community activists. The Luxembourg-based company, the largest steel producer in Africa, has been accused of polluting the air and water as well as dumping hazardous waste.

The facilities are located in Vanderbijlpark and Vereeniging in the Vaal Triangle, an area of heavy industry and mining in southern Gauteng province, about 60 kilometers from Johannesburg. Both were operated by the South African Iron and Steel Corporation before they were bought up in 2004 by ArcelorMittal, a company created by the merger of Mittal Steel from India with Arcelor - itself a merger of three companies from France, Luxembourg and Spain.

For years, communities living in the shadow of the plants have complained of water pollution. In 2004, they banded together to create the Vaal Environmental Justice Alliance (VEJA) and asked ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) to make public a copy of Environmental Master Plan for the rehabilitation of the Vanderbijlpark site.

When the company failed to do so, the activists turned to the courts in 2011. In 2012 VEJA also requested records of the company’s Vaal Disposal Site in Vereeniging, alleging that the company illegally had dumped hazardous waste there.

“It is our constitutional right to be aware of the activities of AMSA to be able to know how they are impacting on our health and environment,” said Samson Mokoena, Coordinator at the VEJA. “As communities, we are failing to understand that if such a company is claiming to be responsible, why it would not want to share its plans with us.”

ArcelorMittal South Africa told the court that the documents were out of date and scientifically and technically flawed.

Last week Paul Carstensen, the acting judge in at the Johannesburg high court, said that the company’s argument made it all the more important that the company turn over the documents. “Participation in environmental governance, the assessment of compliance, the motivation of the public, the mobilization of public, the dissemination of information … constitutes a vital collaboration between the State and private entities in order to ensure achievement of constitutional objectives,” he said.

VEJA’s lawyers applauded the ruling. “The court has confirmed that organizations like VEJA are entitled to protect and exercise the right to a healthy environment by seeking information to enable them to assess environmental impacts, and to exercise a watchdog role,” said Robyn Hugo, an attorney at the Centre for Environmental Rights, a non-profit law clinic based in Cape Town, South Africa.

The company has yet to confirm that it will comply. Themba Hlengani, a ArcelorMittal South Africa spokesman, told Business Day that the company was studying the judgment and that it "will be consulting with our legal team on the appropriate course of action.”

South Africa is not the only country in which ArcelorMittal has been accused of environmental and health and safety impacts. “ArcelorMittal: Going Nowhere Slowly,” a 2009 report by Friends of the Earth and the CEE Bankwatch Network, provides examples from the Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Czech republic, India, Kazakhstan, Liberia, Romania in addition to South Africa.

For example, the 5,000 citizens of Ostrava in the Czech republic, are exposed to concentrations of airborne dust, arsenic and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons that exceed the legal limits by up to 800 percent. A total of 35 miners were killed in two accidents at the Abaiskaya and Tentekskaya mines in Kazakhstan in 2008.

A growing imbalance in Japan's steel trade

Japanese exports are set to reach their highest levels in at least a decade, while imports are heading for their lowest volume since 2004, leading to a growing trade imbalance.

Total iron and steel exports in the first seven months of 2013 reached 26.01 million tonnes, implying an annualized figure of 44.59 million tonnes. This marks the third consecutive year of rises and a massive 36.8% increase on 2005’s ten-year low of 32.60 million tonnes. An examination of the export figures over the past decade reveals some interesting trends: the remarkable ability of Japan's steel companies to ramp up exports even during times of global economic crisis, increasing signs of excess capacity in global steel production and a steadily strengthening currency that would normally suggest reduced competitiveness. China’s spot steel prices fell on Monday September 16, as thin buying depressed sentiment in both longs and flats markets.

In Beijing, grade III rebar was traded at 3,460-3,530 yuan ($562-573) per tonne during the day, down 40-50 yuan ($6-8) per tonne from last week. In Shanghai, prices for the same product fell 10-20 yuan ($2-3) per tonne over the same period to 3,370-3,500 yuan ($547-568) per tonne. “Sales were poor today, restocking activities before the mid-autumn holiday on Thursday and Friday didn’t happen as expected,” a Shanghai-based trader said. “Sentiment was mixed last week, but weakened on Monday after the plunge in rebar futures,” she added. ARCELORMITTAL develops new range of innovative steels

The new steels, developed by ArcelorMittal's research and development teams, will serve as construction materials while producing energy at the same time.

ArcelorMittal has developed, as part of a research project led by the company's research and development teams, a range of photovoltaic products based on steel. For the first time, steel will not only serve as the outer layer of buildings it will also produce energy. This innovation, which endows steel with new properties, was introduced to assist the evolution of the market towards a model that directly integrates renewable energy sources into buildings, bringing the creation of energy and its consumption under one roof.

The new photovoltaic products developed as part of a research programme involving ArcelorMittal's research and development teams and the company's strategic partners will apply, directly on a steel substrate, semi-conductor coatings which produce electricity via solar radiation.

Steel therefore plays an essential role in the development of more efficient photovoltaic technologies based on thin so called 'second generation' layers. This recent development represents a real technological breakthrough, made possible thanks to ArcelorMittal's expertise in the areas of metallurgy and steel structures for roofing and facades, as well as its knowledge when it comes to the use of vacuum coating technologies to endow steel with optoelectronic properties.

The production of steel solar panels is based on a production process that is more environmentally-friendly compared to solar modules using glass panels.

Zoals iemand al eerder zei, je bent miss. niet geschikt voor traden. Miss. moet je eens een LT visie gaan samenstellen. Scheelt iedere dag koersen kijken...
Velen kijken naar historische koersen en denken dan snel even een paar euro te scoren met dit fonds. Helaas werkt dat niet zo.
Deze koers is uit te rekenen. En weerspiegeld de feitelijke waarde op dit moment.
