Het lijkt erop dat wij het ergste gehad hebben, Amices.
pff... was toch wel even spannend.
Voorlopig geen budget om zelfs nog maar mijn E-Bike te laten opvoeren.

de bounce is ook niet altijd even overtuigend ...
sommige inherent zwakke aandelen (olie: Exco resources, die Box ships prefs dalen al meteen weer vanaf hun jumpje) tenminste, ik ga ervan uit dat die Box Ships niet te best is, maar ik heb het almaar weer verkocht voordat ik me erin hoefde te verdiepen :-) (dat is natuurlijk an sich normaal een recept dat zo'n belegging bij de blunders opduikt.... maar de ergste crap die het hardst is gedaald veert vaak initieel ook het hardst weer op. Met het risico dat het daarna snel weer inzakt)

AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--De Eerste Kamer is dinsdag akkoord gegaan met de fiscale aftrekbaarheid van additioneel Tier 1-kapitaal voor banken, zogenaamde coco's, blijkt uit een gepubliceerd verslag van de parlementsvergadering.

De formele goedkeuring maakt de weg vrij voor de uitgifte van dit nieuwe type hybride kapitaalinstrumenten door grote Nederlandse banken. Die kunnen daarmee hun ongewogen kapitaalbuffers, de zogeheten 'leverage ratio' versterken.

Deze week advertentie in het FD van RBS, die de ABN Amro perpetuele portefeuille notes en certificaten gaat aflossen in juni 2015.
Portfeuilles worden geliquideerd in de periode maart-mei 2015.

Gelet op de gepubliceerde omvang zou het gaan om marktwaardes van 5, 7.5 en 125 mln. Het betreft de volgende perps: www.bnpparibasmarkets.nl/MediaLibrary...

Omdat de meeste van deze perps volgens mij niet in onze porto's zitten, is het bericht niet heel erg relevant. Maar we zullen hier en daar mogelijk straks wel wat koersdruk kunnen waarnemen.

Maar nog zeer kort geleden was men daar vol vertrouwen:

Conclusie: je kan nooit genoeg op je hoede zijn bij dit soort jongens.

Ik zie nu dat mijn laatste aanvulling niet is opgenomen in mijn eerdere post:

bij de buyback van achtergestelde schuld met aflosdata in 2015-2017 in oktober dit jaar tegen gemiddeld zo'n 100% werd als argumentatie opgenomen:
- deze schuld telt niet meer of nog slechts gedeelteijk als tier2 schuld;
- het bieden van een exit omdat het niet geheel wordt uitgesloten dat de couponnen in 2015 niet worden uitbetaald;

Het bericht van 9 december kwam bij nader inzien dus niet als een grote verrassing. De kopers van de 5.25% perp tussen eind oktober en begin december hebben kennelijk wat zitten slapen. Betekent dus eigenlijk dat we met enige regelmaat de site van onze issuers moeten bezoeken om op de hoogte te kunnen blijven.

Ha Co, ik heb vanmorgen de stukken op de site doorgelezen.
Indicatief maakten ze vorig jaar 2014 E. 5.800.000.000,- winst;

Banco Santander’s Board of Directors has agreed to raise capital by up to EUR 7.5 billion by issuing a maximum of 1,258.4 million shares, with the exclusion of current shareholders’ preemptive rights. The issuance will be executed through an accelerated bookbuilding offered exclusively to institutional investors.
This strengthening of its capital will enable Santander to fully capture economic growth in markets where it is present. Economic growth forecasts in markets where Banco Santander operates confirm a change in cycle with euro zone economies (Spain, Portugal and Germany) expected to register an estimated 2% increase in 2016; Brazil, the U.K., the U.S., Poland and Argentina, around 3%; and Mexico and Chile over 4%. A stronger capital position will allow the bank to take advantage of organic growth opportunities, increasing lending and market share in key markets.
After this capital increase, Banco Santander will reformulate its dividend policy and return to remunerating its shareholders mainly in cash. The current scrip dividend helped the bank to recapitalize in response to regulatory demands throughout the crisis and allowed shareholders to choose to receive retribution in shares or cash.

Heb zelf de obligatie 5,75% van Santander, rond pari verkrijgbaar.
Dus als je al veel vertrouwen in de debiteur hebt, wellicht een goed moment om te switchen.

Dat heb ik wel overwogen, ook bij andere banken.
En zeker toen de hogere coupon obligaties nog wat onder pari noteerden.
Maar ik zag meer potentieel bij de aandelen, al is dat tot nu toe niet uitgekomen.

Om nu alsnog te switchen vind ik te laat om te capituleren.
Ik houd nog vast aan de overweging bij de aandelen al kan ik de enorme koersschommelingen en de huidige lage koersen nauwelijks verklaren.

Een koersherstel van tientallen procenten bij de banken houd ik niet voor onmogelijk.

Santander mag elk kwartaal aflossen, vandaar de notering rond pari.

Mogelijk dat de kans op aflossing door deze emissie groter is geworden?
