Gazprom Approves Reconstruction of Processing Complex

The Gazprom Management Committee approved the 2022–2026 Comprehensive Program for the reconstruction and re-equipment of gas and liquid hydrocarbon processing facilities of Gazprom. The document was adopted as a follow-up to the Program for 2021–2025 that is currently in effect. The document aims to maintain the upward trend in the efficiency of Gazprom's processing complex. The activities to be implemented under the Program are designed to further maintain the target amounts of hydrocarbon processing and increase the utilization of certain capacities, as well as to expand the range of the products offered and improve their quality.

The relevant units were tasked to use the Program as a basis for drafting proposals on the development of annual and medium-term investment programs of Gazprom regarding the reconstruction and re-equipment of gas and liquid hydrocarbon processing facilities.

The Management Committee also took note of the information about the performance of the production trains of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and the GPP's construction progress.

It was highlighted that the project's overall degree of readiness is 82.2 per cent. Specifically, start-up and commissioning activities are underway at the third production train, and installation of large equipment has been completed at the fourth production train.

At the fifth production train, large gas separation equipment has been installed, while assembly of steel structures and welding of pipelines continue. At the sixth production train, assembly of steel structures is ongoing and foundation works are nearing completion.

The construction of another two helium production, liquefaction and packaging units is actively progressing (there will be in total three units of this kind at the GPP, and the first of them was put into operation in 2021). The second unit is undergoing start-up and commissioning, and heat exchange equipment is now installed at the third one.

Russian energy giant Gazprom expects to pay dividend on 2021 results of more than 45 roubles ($0.6087) per share thanks to high oil and gas prices, Gazprom's Deputy CEO Famil Sadygov said on Tuesday.
He reiterated that Gazprom expects record-high earnings in 2021, which will be surpassed in 2022, when core profit of Gazprom's group, which includes gas, oil and power assets, set to rise to over 4 trillion roubles, while net income seen rising to more than 2.5 trillion roubles.

Als Sadygov gelijk krijgt komt Gazprom dus wellicht op een wpa van 100 roebel, 50 roebel uitkeren als dividend is ca 1,10 per ADR (koers 7,88). Kortom, Gazprom verdiend momenteel erg veel geld :-)

Dat vertelde hij een paar weken geleden ook al.

De Dutch TTF doet momenteel 180 (normaal rond de 20) zodat de Europese gasprijs nu 9 keer hoger staat dan 9 mnd geleden. Het is bizar. Geen idee of Gazprom alles onder langlopende contracten levert of dat ze nu ook op dagprijzen (en hoeveel?) leveren. Maar een ding is zeker, komende jaren zullen ze tegen veel hogere prijzen leveren dan de afgelopen jaren.

Denk zelf dat de oorlogsdreiging (Oekraine) en politieke schermiutselingen de gasprijs mede opdrijft maar het aandeel naar beneden drukt.

Gazprom Neft Forms Alliance for Developing Green Aviation Fuel

Gazprom Neft, together with Airbus, Aeroflot, S7 Group, Volga-Dnepr Group, the N.E. Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute TsAGI and the State Research Institute of Civil Aviation FGUP GosNII GA has established Russia’s first association for developers and manufacturers of low-carbon sustainable aviation fuel. The Eurasian SAF-Alliance will facilitate the use of environmentally friendly aviation fuel, fully compliant with international standards, at Russian airports. Members of the Eurasian SAF-Alliance are aiming for the first bio-fuelled flight to take place no later than 2024.

The Gazprom Neft Industrial Innovations Technology Centre, St Petersburg, will act as the Alliance’s main research facility, the company’s cutting-edge science base here facilitating the development of effective green aviation fuel formulations, as well as the technologies for their subsequent commercial production. Pilot batches of SAF will be produced at Gazprom Neft’s refineries in Moscow and Omsk.

The Eurasian SAF-Alliance is an open forum through which aviation-industry market participants throughout the green jet-fuel value chain can engage. A roadmap on investigating the operational properties of SAF fuel, as well as supporting R&D and developing technical regulations and standards for “wing-tip” refuelling is to be put in place, to that end.

SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) refers to plant-based, low-carbon aviation fuel. Using SAF can reduce the greenhouse gas emissions caused by air travel by up to 80%.

Gazprom Transfers Vaneyvisskoye & Layavozhskoye Fields to JV

Gazprom has now transferred to Layavozhneftegaz the subsurface use license for the area that includes Vaneyvisskoye and Layavozhskoye. During the next stage, Layavozhneftegaz will commence the design works for the development and pre-development of these fields. To that end, the company will use the data obtained through the 3D seismic surveys that were fully completed in 2021.

For the development of operations at the Vaneyvisskoye and Layavozhskoye fields in the Nenets Autonomous Area, a joint project company Layavozhneftegaz was set up in 2021 by Gazprom & LUIKOIL.

The Vaneyvisskoye and Layavozhskoye fields are located in the Nenets Autonomous Area to the east of Naryan-Mar. The two fields have the aggregate recoverable reserves of 27.4 million tons of liquid hydrocarbons and 225.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

MOSKOU (ANP/RTR) - De onderzeese gaspijpleiding Nord Stream 2 staat gereed om de druk van de Europese gasmarkt af te halen. Dat heeft de Russische president Vladimir Poetin nog maar eens benadrukt. Volgens hem is het tweede deel van de pijpleiding gevuld en kan snel gas worden geleverd. Daarbij zal de ingebruikname van de pijp volgens hem snel zorgen voor lagere gasprijzen.

Nord Stream 2 werd in september al voltooid, maar gas leveren via de pijp die onder de Oostzee van Rusland naar Duitsland loopt, mag nog niet. Nog altijd wordt gewacht op goedkeuring van Duitsland en de Europese Unie. De pijpleiding is van meet af aan omstreden geweest. Zo was er onder andere verzet vanuit de Verenigde Staten, maar ook andere landen als Polen en Oekraïne, omdat Rusland via de gaspijpleiding nog meer invloed in Europa zou krijgen.

De pijpleiding had volgens de planning in 2019 klaar moeten zijn. De aanleg werd opgeschort nadat de VS dreigden met sancties. Dat gebeurde nog onder het presidentschap van Donald Trump. Daarop trok het Zwitsers-Nederlandse bedrijf Allseas zich terug uit de aanleg ervan. Rusland moest de leiding daarop met zijn eigen vloot afmaken.

Lovende woorden

Poetin sprak tijdens een regeringsvergadering op woensdag lovende woorden over de voltooiing van Nord Stream 2. Bij die bijeenkomst was ook het hoofd van het Russische staatsgasbedrijf Gazprom aanwezig. Met de aanleg van de leiding is een bedrag van 11 miljard dollar gemoeid. Naast Gazprom zijn bij de aanleg ook Duitse ondernemingen als Uniper en BASF, de Franse firma Engie en het Brits-Nederlandse Shell betrokken.

De certificering van de gaspijp wordt op zijn vroegst in de loop van 2022 verwacht. Ondertussen kampt Europa met fors gestegen aardgasprijzen omdat het economisch herstel en de grote energievraag de voorraden onder druk hebben gezet. Daarbij speelt mee dat er ook al dagen geen gas van Rusland naar Europa stroomt via de Yamal-Europa pijplijn, een andere belangrijke route voor Russisch gas naar Europa.

Sommige westerse politici en industriedeskundigen beschuldigen Rusland ervan gasleveringen aan Europa achter te houden wegens de politieke spanningen rond Oekraïne. Gazprom en het Kremlin hebben dit herhaaldelijk ontkend.

Gazprom Completes Part of Sakhalin Khabarovsk Vladivostok Pipeline

Gazprom announce that construction has been completed on Komsomolsk Amur Khabarovsk section of Sakhalin Khabarovsk Vladivostok gas pipeline between Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Khabarovsk in December 2021. The section, which is 390.8 kilometers long, including backup strings and submerged crossings, is now being filled with gas. The launch of the section will enable Gazprom to create the conditions for boosting gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion in the Khabarovsk Territory, as well as for setting up new connections for gas consumers to switch them from the Okha Komsomolsk Amur gas pipeline, not owned by Gazprom.

Gazprom and the Khabarovsk Territory are implementing the program for gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion in the region for 2021–2025. The Company's investments in the program will total RUB 5.49 billion, a 3.2-fold increase against the investments made in the previous five-year period of 2016–2020. Gazprom is planning to build 14 inter-settlement gas pipelines, 9.3 kilometers of gas pipeline branches, and six gas distribution stations.

Gazprom Neft’s NIS Becomes Partner to HIP Petrohemija in Serbia

Government of Serbia & Gazprom Neft’s joint venture Naftna Industrija Srbije, the Serbian government and HIP Petrohemija have entered into a strategic partnership agreement under which NIS will increase its capital interest in Serbia’s leading petrochemicals producer, HIP Petrohemija, from 20.86% to 90%, this decision having been taken following the Government of Serbia’s tender to recruit a partner for the business.

The agreement envisages additional capitalisation in the amount of EUR 150 million from NIS, and the construction of a high-tech 140,000 tonne capacity polypropylene production complex. HIP Petrohemija’s main production facilities will be modernised, energy-efficiency improvement projects undertaken, and environmentally friendly solutions deployed.

HIP Petrohemija is the largest petrochemicals producer in the Republic of Serbia, with total capacity of 600,000 tonnes per year. NIS’ and HIP Petrohemija’s technological cooperation is of many years’ standing, with the straight-run gasoline used in HIP Petrohemija’s production processes being supplied by NIS’ Pancevo oil refinery.

Gazprom Neft Sets Up Production Unit in Yamalo-Nenets Okrug

Gazprom Neft has commissioned oil production infrastructure at its Pestsovoye and En-Yakhinskoye fields in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Production volumes here expected to exceed 6.3 million tonnes of oil equivalent as early as next year. Oil-rim deposits at these two fields from part of the company’s new oil production centre in the Arctic. A central gathering plant has been commissioned at the Pestsovoye field. This high-tech complex, which will also include a compressor station and gas-treatment unit, will allow all types of crude and feedstocks oil, gas and condensate to be processed and shipped.

Gazprom Neft subsidiary Gazpromneft-Zapolyarye is developing oil-rim deposits at the Pestsovoye and En-Yakhinskoye fields under long-term risk-operatorship agreements held by license owner Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy LLC. Gazprom Neft is expecting to produce 2.8 million tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons and 4.3 cubic metres of gas at these fields in 2022. The infrastructure being put in place will allow Gazprom Neft to develop multicomponent deposits, containing oil, gas and condensate, effectively. The possibility of producing hydrocarbons at Achimovsky deposits at the Pestsovoye field will also be considered, going forward.

This project has involved innovative solutions, including, specifically, aerial monitoring of construction works and mobile modular oil production and treatment systems. These ready-to-use units have been installed at the field from readymade modules, bringing field development forward by two years. High-tech multilateral wells, with horizontal shafts running to more than two kilometres, have been drilled to produce oil and gas from narrow oil rims. The complexity of these wells’ construction makes them unique to Russia’s oil and gas industry.

EU competition chief questions Gazprom’s gas supply strategy

Margrethe Vestager says Russian firm’s tactics are ‘thought-provoking.’

EU competition chief Margrethe Vestager Thursday questioned Gazprom's strategy to limit gas supplies at a time of increased demand. The EU is conducting a preliminary investigation into anti-competitive behavior in the sector.

"It is indeed thought-provoking that a company, in view of increasing demand, limits supply," Vestager told reporters. "That is quite rare behavior in the marketplace," she said.

In October, Poland urged the Commission to open an antitrust probe of Gazprom, with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki telling fellow EU leaders an investigation would “sober up Gazprom” and scare it into making more gas available.

Brussels then said it would collect evidence of possible anti-competitive behavior by the bloc’s major natural gas suppliers.

Energy-price increases are "very high priority" for the EU as "every household in Europe [is seeing] their energy bills go up," Vestager said.

"We have sent questionnaires to a number of energy suppliers in this field. We have got a lot of responses, but we are still waiting for responses, among others, from Gazprom," she said, adding she was "eagerly awaiting the information ... to move on with our analysis."

Gazprom said it has submitted some information to the Commission. “We are in contact with the European Commission. Some of the information has already been provided,” a company spokesperson said.

Ukraine’s national gas company Naftogaz in December filed a complaint with the Commission alleging anti-competitive activity by Gazprom.

Russian President Vladimir Putin in December blamed the high gas prices on a mix of profit-hungry traders and EU rules. He said European traders are reselling Russian gas bought under cheap long-term contracts for windfall profits.

International Energy Agency head Fatih Birol on Wednesday said the tightness in the European gas market was likely due to Russia’s behavior, which coincided with "heightened geopolitical tensions over Ukraine.”

De EU maakt verwijten aan Rusland over verminderde leveringen; terwijl ze zelf de langdurige oliecontracten hebben opgezegd.
Gezien Gazprom leidingen aanlegt, die miljarden kosten en vele jaren duren, heeft de EU hier wel een kilootje boter op haar hoofd.,

Je zou zeggen: Dat moet renderen en gebruikt worden. Maar blijkbaar zit Duitsland zo onder de knoet van de USA dat ze het verdommen om het gas in te voeren om Rusland/ Gazprom onder druk te zetten, terwijl ze daarmee zowel de Europese bevolking op een hogere gasrekening zetten en de Groningers dwinge zich te houden aan leveringscontracten waarover de Nederlandse Overheid blijkbaar niets meer te zeggen heeft.

Eigenlijk ongelooflijke toestanden die we momenteel meemaken....
