Van yahoo MB:

I ran out a new estimate for Q4 EP Gross Revenue based on the updated and adjusted PSS numbers. The updated figure is:

$13,240,036.23

And for Operating Income using Q3 margin (31.6%) you get:

$4,183,851.45

Or in terms of potential Q4 EPS:

$0.067

Additionally, I think I have the conversion between peak and average players cracked. Using the numbers I generated, and applying a straight-line increase in player numbers based on the historical growth rate, then adjusting for a slowing over time, you get Gross Revenue estimates of:

Q1 '07 - $18,325,225.24

Q2 '07 - $25,847,706.27

Q3 '07 - $34,388,699.34

Q4 '07 - $43,947,635.06

=====

FY 07 - $122,509,265.90

CC

brylisvg, that estimate includes a slowing growth rate monthly as the year progresses. It's not a simple straight-line number. And yes, if you figure the Q3 margin remains the same (which it shouldn't, it should drop on numbers that big) it could, and I stress COULD earn $0.62 just from EP in'07. Though there's not a chance in hell I'll guarantee it. That's why it's called an estimate. :-)

The analysts have to stick with more conservative estimates of know quantities. If I was one, I wouldn't say anything either, but I'd be quietly buying.

Oh yeah, and keep in mind this doesn't in any way include EC, which W&H have said is getting "high single-digit" cross-over player numbers from EP.

CC

And yeah, my Q4 estimates probably are low compared to many, but doesn't that mean you really should take a good second look at those estimates I posted for EP in '07? Just imagine how low they might be. After all, my estimates tend toward the conservative side.

BTW I think your eyes would fall out if you saw the M4$ numbers I've run out. I can scarcely believe them myself, and most likely won't post them until I get some data from GIGM. Suffice it to say, even with annual revenue per user one-third that of EP, the numbers FAR outpace EP.

M4$ Super-Prelim Estimates (1 Rating) 16-Jan-07 12:52 am
OK, you wanted to see them, so here they are.

Some info and assumptions you should know about:

1. The Q's listed below are for Q of release (not necessarily Q1 07)
2. Avg Gross Rev Per User (AGRPU) is estimated at $100 to start (EP is $307)
3. Operating Margin is assumed to be 30%
4. Revenue listed is 45% of total revenue (same as EP split)
5. Growth spikes during Q2/Q3 with rates returning to "normal" range within 2 Q's, but are assumed to begin slowing after Q6.
6. Overall growth + revenue is based on only 1 licensee

Q // Revenue // Operating Income // EPS/Q
Q1: $1,462,500.00 // $438,750.00 // 0.007
Q2: $5,118,750.00 // $1,535,625.00 // 0.025
Q3: $10,493,437.50 // $3,148,031.25 // 0.051
Q4: $19,898,180.86 // $5,969,454.26 // 0.096
Q5: $33,652,798.38 // $10,095,839.51 // 0.163
Q6: $51,741,177.51 // $15,522,353.25 // 0.250
Q7: $76,900,325.07 // $23,070,097.52 // 0.372
Q8: $110,351,966.47 // $33,105,589.94 // 0.534

Just remember, I have very little to work with.

Roth Capital initiates Buy. Target $15. Roth Capital initiates GIGM with a Buy and a $15 tgt saying they believe GigaMedia is poised to deliver above average revenue and earnings growth for the next several years driven by the further penetration of European I-gaming markets, increased casual game operations in Asia, and the expansion of its real-money, I-gaming platform into Asian markets. The firm says while the rest of the I-gaming industry is currently scrambling to survive after the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act and subsequent loss of U.S. customers, they expect GigaMedia to continue to deliver record results as a result of never having any exposure to the U.S. market.

Interesting news on Neteller, talking about the impact this may have on companies still accepting US players. Appears this could help Partypoker and Everest (Gigamedia) significantly.

Re: Interesting news on Neteller.....
GREAT ARTICLE and you can see that 2 of the 3 sites that have greater player #'s thsn Everest are now in grave danger of losing those U.S. players that are still using their sites. I now think that if anything EP's growth is going to ACCELERATE over the shorter-term, because clearly the U.S. is going to hound whoever facilitates U.S. players transferring cash money out of the Country for the purposes of online gambling. Eventually someone, most likely organized crime will create alternatives. But until then, EP's #'s and GIGM's profits are going to grow even FASTER.

GigaMedia to Buy Majority Stake in T2CN
Thursday January 18, 8:29 am ET
GigaMedia to Acquire Majority Stake in Chinese Sports Game Operator for $22.9 Million

NEW YORK (AP) -- GigaMedia Ltd., a Taiwan-based operator of online gambling sites and maker of gaming software, said Thursday it will pay $22.9 million to acquire a majority stake in T2CN Holding Ltd., a Chinese online sports and casual game operator.

GigaMedia said it will buy up to 18.3 million shares of T2CN, which is about 40 percent of the company, subject to adjustment based on T2CN's performance in the first half of 2007.

GigaMedia currently holds convertible preferred shares in the Shanghai-based sports game company that can be exchanged for an additional 15 million common shares. It also has the option to buy an additional 4.3 million shares, pushing its total stake to 51.9 percent by May 2007, when these options can be exercised.

The deal is expected to close in February.

GigaMedia said the acquisition will help it build a dominant online entertainment platform in Asia.

WTO rules against US in internet gambling case
www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16830252/

By Daniel Pimlott in New York
Updated: 12:12 a.m. ET Jan 27, 2007

The US has suffered a setback in a World Trade Organisation case that accuses the country of protectionism against international online gambling companies.

The US admitted on Friday that the WTO had ruled against it in the latest stage of a long-running dispute with the tiny Caribbean island of Antigua over whether US laws allow online gambling on horse racing, but unfairly forbid international companies from competing in the market.

The ruling is the latest step on a path which could eventually see the European Union take on the US over its treatment of the European internet gambling industry. Several leading online gambling companies have been hit by prosecutions from the US in recent months.

The final ruling on the case is expected in a few weeks after which the Antigua will be able to introduce sanctions although the US still has the right to appeal.

Officially, the US government considers online gambling to be illegal, although there appear to be loopholes excluding horseracing, some state lotteries, and intrastate online gambling.

Antigua would be the smallest country ever to win a WTO case.
