Forget gold. Vanadium is the NEW Gold Rush!
During the last few years, vanadium has been one of the strongest performing metals in the resource sector for two very well-defined factors. China recently instituted new building codes that require significantly higher levels of vanadium in construction rebar to meet stringent new building codes. In addition, the rapidly growing adoption of Vanadium Redox Flow batteries is set to increase its share of the already tight vanadium supply.
On May 17, Bloomberg released an article about the global supply crisis for iron ore (the main component of steel). China is seeing record consumption for Asia's booming construction industry. Between the need for much more vanadium used in steel for infrastructure, and iron ore trading at five-year highs, companies with quality vanadium and iron deposits are sure to gain attention from investors.
In short, there have been several announcements on why vanadium, and more recently iron ore, will be the top resource investments of 2019 ... and one of the absolute best ways to realize the profits seen when investors rush back into a trend.
The majority of vanadium production comes from four countries: China, Russia, South Africa and Brazil. Vanadium is one of the metals listed in the United States' critical metals act, with currently no production in North America.
