Dear participants,

The composition of the FTSE100 has changed. The stocks that we added are Aberdeen Asset Management and Croda International. The stock that is removed s Essar Energy Plc.

If you still have a position in Essar Energy Plc, please let uw know so that we can remove your buy transactions.

May I ask why when selling my Essar stock I appear to have got back what I originally invested rather than the actual value which was ~35% up at the time of the request?

It somewhat renders this game pointless if you buy and sell stock without making the gains which the share price would suggest...

Dear phil7445,

At the time a stock is removed from the FTSE100, it is not possible to trade anymore. To provide participants with the opportunity to trade with the money they invested in the deleted stocks, we offer to remove buy/sell transactions. You receive back the money you originally invested, so you can use this again. In this case, you will lose/gain any profit/loss you otherwise would have made on the outstanding position. In your case, you unfortunately lost a profitable position.

@hey: your position in Essar Energy is removed.

@Skammer7: You can do that yourself. You go to 'My account' in the menu on the left side of the page. Next, you choose 'Change your alias' and you can fill in the name you would like.
