Now either he is lucky, or this is yet another VT bug!

There are lots of users with huge gains on intercont hotels as well.

Both these stocks (and no others that I could see) appear to have started the day on a value of ZERO. Looking at the FTSE100 that this site provides shows the day's low as being 'that' low. Unfortunately, Yahoo doesn't agree, neither does the london stock exchange websites.

Obviously there is a bug in VT or quotes failed to be obtained at the start of day and VT therefore had a quirky price for the stock.

Dear participants,

The values of the stocks Wolseley and Intercont. Hotels were wrong february 21st. Due to this error, some users were able to generate insane returns. I deleted the transactions in these stocks that generated them, so that the potfolio returns are back at normal levels.

VT_2nd to none had a Wolseley transaction that yielded him 18%, why is his transaction not deleted?

@SuperFatCat: in the transaction history of this player I can't find any transactions for February. I assume he/she resetted his/her portfolio.

@GoLong: thank you for making us aware of this profit, we can't check all portfolios for these unreal profits. If you find more of these, please let us know.
