Is it me or is there a fault in the system?

I purchased 1940 shares of Afr.Barrick Gold at £5.15, total cost £5150 plus £12.88 transaction costs. All ok so far.

I then sold same using the limit facility. Strangely, only 1000 shares were 'sold'. OK, that could be because of the underpinning 'rule' of ORDER EXECUTION. I can live with that, but it makes this virtual world a more difficult one to work in. However, my transactions costs should have been £10 for the transaction and £12.40 for the commission (1000 shares at £8.27). A total transaction cost of £22.40 (or maybe £22.41, but I won't quibble over a penny).

So how is it that my transaction costs in total were £30.30 AND charged 2 days later.

I even suspected that perhaps the commission charge was on the whole 1940 shares even though only 1000 shares were sold but that would have made the transaction cost in total £34.07.

Having been playing in this game for a total of 2 weeks, this has happened twice before, and on top of that, a buy of another company was done over three days, 260 shares charged for correctly, then the additional 25586 shares, but this time the costs appear to have been calculated on 25846 shares, so I have paid for the cost of the 260 shares twice and commission as well. Sorry, typo, make the purchase costs of the transaction as £25.99 not £12.88.
