Royal Dutch Shell plc announces that on 21 August, 2007 it purchased for cancellation 550,000 'A' Shares at a price of 27.16 euros per share. It further announces that on the same date it purchased for cancellation 250,000 'A' Shares at a price of 1848.96 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares, the remaining number of 'A' Shares of Royal Dutch Shell plc will be 3,637,058,000.

As of 21 August, 2007 2,759,360,000 'B' Shares of Royal Dutch Shell plc were in issue.

Amsterdam (BETTEN BEURSMEDIA NEWS) - Royal Dutch Shell heeft woensdag 850.000 eigen aandelen A ingekocht. Dat heeft het Brits-Nederlandse olieconcern 's avonds bekendgemaakt.

In totaal werden in Amsterdam 550.000 aandelen gekocht voor EUR 27,64 per aandeel. Daarnaast heeft Shell in Londen 300.000 aandelen ingekocht tegen een prijs van 1.873,37 pence per aandeel. Al deze stukken worden ingetrokken.

Na het intrekken van de aandelen bedraagt het aantal uitstaande aandelen A van Royal Dutch Shell 3.713.310.000. Per 15 november staan nog 2.759.360.000 aandelen B uit.

Tja dit kan me niet verbazen...die 80 miljoen stellen amper 1% van het kapitaal voor. Ik roep het hier al jaren, dat inkoopprogramma stelt RELATIEF geen fluit voor. Als we dan in absolute waarde gaan kijken is het indrukwekkend. Maar koersondersteunend is dit idd zeker niet. Een gemiste kans om aandeelhouderswaarde te scheppen wel. Maar ja wie ben ik?

Ze zijn weer gestopt!!! Vonden het zelf ook niet erg effectief kennelijk! Opvallend: bij 'lage' koersen stopt het aandeleninkoopprogramma (dit is niet de eerste keer). We hebben klaarblijkelijk met een uitzonderlijk intelligent management van doen (a la J. Cruyff, de grootst mogelijke onizn die deze man uitkraamt wordt door velen als heel belangrijk beschouwd). Maar hopen dat van der Veer wel weet wat ie doet. De feiten spreken niet erg voor hem.

Klopt als een bus! Het volkomen waardeloze aandeleninkoopprogramma is een belangrijke reden voor de zeer matige prestatie van Shell t.o.v. Exxon mobil. (exxon koopt 6-7% van de uitstaande aandelen per jaar in (al jaren)! Shell heeft wel het geld maar het bestuur kennelijk niet het verstand! Ze investeren liever niet wanneeer het goedkoop is (eind negenttiger jaren) maar volop als alles onbetaalbaar is (nu) . Exxon doet en deed dat andersom! Maar bij Exxon zin het maar stomme Texaanse boeren volgens Haagse Bluf Jeroen van der Veer!

Klopt als een bus! Het volkomen waardeloze aandeleninkoopprogramma is een belangrijke reden voor de zeer matige prestatie van Shell t.o.v. Exxon mobil. (exxon koopt 6-7% van de uitstaande aandelen per jaar in (al jaren)! Shell heeft wel het geld maar het bestuur kennelijk niet het verstand! De zon schijnt vandaag, dus mijn koersdoel is 32.
