It is totally impossible to compete with the people who have shares that aren't available to the rest of us.. Not to mention all those that have been refunded their losses on failed trades
What gives?

Totally agree Trendkiller. Sometime last year I ask VT if it was possible to only refund the balance of those shares that were being removed from the ftse100, at the time of asking them to be deleted from ones portfolio, whether it was a loss or not. To refund the original investment seems odd!!

That would be another of the "features" of VT: that the views on a thread are not shown. Or they'll make it another competition: guess the number of views
