Elke keer als er meer afspraken komen in deze richting is het goed nieuws voor het aandeel.
Ook al is de core-business nog steeds de rolls-royce (vliegtuig)straalmotor en het onderhoud daarvan.

(Het auto deel is al lang geleden verkocht aan Duitsland).

Rolls-Royce: H1 sales up 31%

(CercleFinance.com) - Rolls-Royce today reports recurring sales of £6,950m for H1, up 31% y-o-y (£5,308m).

Underlying operating profit was £673m, compared with £125m for the same period a year ago. Rolls-Royce reports underlying pre-tax profit tax of £524m, a far cry from the £111m loss in H1 2022, showing underlying EPS of £4.9 for H1, compared with £2.24 twelve months ago.

In particular Rolls-Royce points to the increase in the Group's underlying operating margin, which stood at 9.7% compared with just 2.4% in the previous period.

As indicated at the end of July, the British engine-maker is now targeting underlying operating income of £1.2bn to £1.4bn, up from the previous estimate of £0.8bn to £1bn.

LONDON, Aug 3 (Reuters) - Aero-engineer Rolls-Royce reported underlying operating profit of 673 million pounds ($855 million) in its first half, more than five times the level of a year ago, led by a large improvement in its civil aerospace margin.

The British company upgraded its full-year profit forecast late last month to 1.2-1.4 billion pounds ($1.6-1.8 billion) from its previous guidance of 800 million-1 billion pounds. The market had been forecasting 934 million pounds.

De ontwikkeling van de SMRs vindt plaats in een aantal landen, waaronder Canada, Engeland, Frankrijk en de Verenigde Staten. Er bestaan inmiddels tientallen ontwerpen voor de SMR. Daar zitten lichtwaterreactoren tussen, maar ook hogetemperatuurreactoren en zelfs een enkele snelle kweekreactor. Enkele voorbeelden zijn de drukwaterreactoren NuScale, NuWard en Rolls-Royce SMR, als ook de snelle kweekreactor Natrium

Bij aankoop Rolls-Royce of andere UK aandelen wordt je naast 4,90 aankoop kosten (DeGiro) ook nog eens
0,5% belasting in de maag gesplitst....London/Dublin Stamp Duty
en dat verraste wel een beetje, normaal handel ik lekker goedkoop (qua kosten) in turbo´s ook bij RR.

Er is ook niets wat aangeeft vooraf dat er meer kosten zijn dan de aankoopkosten en die 0,5 % zal je niet de das
om doen maar geeft wel weer extra aanleiding eerst naar de turbo´s te kijken die het bij een almaar stijgend
aandeel natuurlijk geweldig doen.

Geven andere banken/brokers ook niet vooraf een signaal dat er belasting wordt ingehouden ?

(CercleFinance.com) - Jefferies confirms its 'buy' rating on Rolls-Royce shares, which is its best pick in the sector, having significantly raised its target price for the stock from 210 pence to 310 pence, reflecting the adoption of its previous optimistic scenario as its new base case for the engine maker.
'H1 results proved our blue-sky scenario for Rolls-Royce to be too conservative, with margins of 12.5% already reached in Civil,' the broker summarises.
'With more to come from AM volumes & potential cost savings', Stifel now expects a margin in the civil sector of over 15% in 2025, and 12.4% at the group level.

In 2020 behaalde Rolls-Royce een omzet van bijna £ 12 miljard, dat is een kwart minder dan in 2019 en de daling is vooral een gevolg van een daling van het vliegverkeer door de coronapandemie. Aan het einde van dat jaar had het bedrijf orders in de boeken staan met een totale waarde van £ 54 miljard.[1] Het bedrijf telde in dat jaar gemiddeld zo'n 48.200 medewerkers.[1]

Het bedrijf bestaat uit verschillende divisies, hieronder gerangschikt volgens hun bijdrage aan de groepsomzet in 2020.[1]

42%; civiele vliegtuigmotoren, waarvan ongeveer 40% gerealiseerd wordt met de verkoop van nieuwe motoren.

8%; overige activiteiten (inclusief bedrijfsonderdelen die in de verkoop staan).
De vliegtuigmotorentak legt zich voornamelijk toe op motoren voor grote vliegtuigen en is, zoals vermeld, de tweede grootste ter wereld. De defensietak is de 18de-grootste ter wereld. Ook de scheepsmotorendivisie is een van de grootste in haar sector. Deze divisie maakt naast scheepsmotoren ook nucleaire aandrijvingen voor onderzeeboten.

(CercleFinance.com) - UBS reinstates its 'buy' rating on Rolls-Royce shares, having raised its target price for them from 200p to 350p, a new target that offers a huge 73% upside potential for the British aircraft and marine engine manufacturer.

'Progress is coming materially faster than we expected', the broker notes, judging that the group's targets for 2023 appear conservative. Meanwhile, UBS forecasts underlying free cash flow of £2.8bn in 2026.
