Vandaag verschenen russisch artikel over een nieuwe C1 remmer uit chinese hamsters:
www.mdpi.com/1424-8247/14/11/1180/htm(in 'Abstract')
"This study describes the physicochemical and biological characterization of a novel recombinant human C1 esterase inhibitor (rhC1INH) from Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells for the treatment of hereditary angioedema compared to the marketed products Berinert® and Ruconest®"
(in 'paragraph 5')
Based on all the above, one can conclude that novel rhC1INH expressed in CHO cells has physicochemical and biological properties similar to both Ruconest® and Berinert® and thus may be used for the treatment of pathologic conditions caused by C1INH deficiencies, such as HAE.
Resultaten lijken dus vergelijkbaar met Berinert en Ruconest, maar de studie is gelukkig pas in een preklinische fase.
