YORcivil 2 framework
Just under 30 of the UK's biggest construction firms have landed places on a € 1bn framework covering civils work in Yorkshire and Humber.
Balfour Beatty, Carillion, Interserve, Kier and Morgan Sindall are among the contractors to have secured spots on the framework, which will deliver infrastructure projects for the region's local authorities and other public sector bodies.
CN revealed last month that a number of heavyweight contractors had secured places on the frameworks.
The overall deal will replace the previous YORcivil framework, which was awarded back in 2011.
YORcivil2 comprises the South and West Area Contractors Framework, worth € 797m, and the North and East Area Contractors Framework, valued at € 359m.
Civil engineering works, bridge and structures works, highway surfacing jobs and flood alleviation projects will make up the majority of work procured through the two deals.
