RijkeDuivel wenst zich te verontschuldigen. Mijn forecast zat er 5% naast. Ze hebben er een paar extra kunnen inkopen. Uiteraard na zeer zware onderhandelingen met institutionele aandeelhouders. Tja wie wil er nu aan deze koersen Shell verkopen. Het is dan ook vanuit dit perspectief dat Shell niet teveel aandelen wenst in te kopen. Kwestie van de gevoelens van de aandeelhouders te sparen.... Wat was de benaming weer? een ompany? Jaja eigenlijk wel een mooie benaming. Jammer dat België geen oliebedrijven meer heeft na de uitverkoop aan Total. Anders hadden we shell kunnen overnemen. Koers begint anders wel waarderingen van een Fortis aan te nemen. Toch eens nakijken wie de grootste aandeelhouder is

De ompany is weer lekker bezig! Uiteraard weer de grootste daler onder de majors! Ze hebben wat moeite om alles uit te rekenen bij ons ompanietje. Dit aandeel werd altijd aangeprijst als een rots in de branding, een defensive play bij uitstek! Er zit dan ook een management dat "goed bezig is" (ikciteer enkele believers, noem daar een KOOL). Ik herhaal: zolang Van der Veer en Vosser niet vervangen worden door competente mensen zal het alleen verder bergafgaan mat dit kut aandeel

Als je objectief bent en in een oliebedrijf wilt investeren dan ga je natuurlijk naar Exxon of Chevron. Daar weten ze wat ze willen.
Praat eens met iemand die binnen Shell werkt, veel bezigheidstherapie en men houdt elkaar lekker bezig.

Bijgevoegde figuur laat zien dat winstgroei tussen 2001 en 2007 na dividend en aandeleninkoop van Royal Dutch Shell hoger was dan bij ExxonMobil. Eigenlijk ontloopt het elkaar niet veel.

Het dividend en de winstgroei van RDS was hoger en het aandeleninkoopprogramma van ExxonMobil was hoger. RDS investeert meer winst in nieuwe olieprojecten en ExxonMobil koopt vooral 'duurdere' aandelen in. RDS bezit sinds kort meer eigen vermogen dan ExxonMobil en dat eigen vermogen groeit ook veel harder. ExxonMobil heeft echter wel voor 14,2 jaar oliereserves tegen 10,6 jaar voor RDS(cijfer 2006, bron ExxonMobil), maar ExxonMobil investeerde de afgelopen jaren minder. En teerzand is volgens de SEC mijnbouw, beide bedrijven investeren in teerzand. De winstgroei van ExxonMobil bleef dus achter ondanks de hogere 'return on capital', dat geeft een onduidelijjk beeld welk bedrijf in de toekomst meer winstgroei zal behalen.

De belangrijkste oorzaak van de lagere waardering van RDS is misschien dat ExxonMobil deel uitmaakt van de Dow Jones, terwijl RDS net een paar jaar geleden uit de S&P500 is gegooid. Als alle grote beleggers in de wereld S&P500-indexbeleggen en extreem diversificeren, valt Royal Dutch Shell door de extreme investeringsomvang wegens gebrek aan fans tussen wal en schip.

De veel lagere koers-winstverhouding van RDS t.o.v. ExxonMobil is interessanter, maar ook zeker niet ongebruikelijk. Mr. Market belegt nu kennelijk liever in ExxonMobil met een lager winstpercentage en een lagere winstgroei. Op lange termijn zullen investeringen in RDS zeer waarschijnlijk outperformen t.o.v. ExxonMobil, maar niemand heeft 10 jaar geduld. Aandelenprijzen zijn altijd gek geweest.

Aangezien de winst van RDS niet is achtergebleven bij ExxonMobil en gezien de lagere waardering van RDS, zie ik op lange termijn kansen voor het aandeel RDS met minder risico. Het dividend en aandeleninkoopprogramma van RDS kan vergeleken met ExxonMobil de komende jaren verder omhoog. Statistisch gezien volgt de aandelenkoers een stijgend dividend en aandeleninkoopprogramma.
