How are folks doing in the Galapagos Phase 3 trial? - Pulmonary fibrosis Forum

I am considering entering the Galapagos Phase III trial at Yale. This study includes people who are already on approved IPF meds ( I am currently on OFEV). I’m interested in hearing from anyone who is or was in the study, particularly those who are also taking OFEV. I’m particularly concerned about the study drug potentially increasing OFEV’s side effects. Thanks in advance for all comments / observations / suggestions etc.

My husband is participating in the trial and is also on Ofev (100 mg, not 150). No issues with any side effects.

I took my first pills for the Galapagos Phase 3 trial yesterday. I had started the screening process last spring but COVID shut the study down at UMMC. Currently, 3 drug doses are being studied 600 mg, 400 mg, 300 mg and the placebo, so you have a 3 out of 4 chance of getting some level of the drug. My SOC drug is OFEV 150 mg. To early to give an opinion on any effects. It is a lot of screening and time in the hospital ( a couple of 7 hour days there) before you get started. Hope the effort pays off.
